SOUTH SEA ISLANDS
CRUISE IN 20-TON YACHT AN ADVENTUROUS JOURNEY. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 3. After five mouths’ cruising among the South Sea Islands in the Auckland yacht Heartsease, of 20 tons gross register, Mr H. C. Dixon returned to-day by the Monowai from Sydney. On two occasions the Heartsease got. an exceedingly hard battering by storms, but nevertheless the trip proved very enjoyable. The yacht was at Tonga during the festivities in connection with the jubilee of the college, and Queen Charlotte invited the crew to participate. The yacht spent two months cruising around the Fiji Group and thence proceeded to Noumea and Brisbane. • The worst stage, of the journey was the last trip between Brisbane and Sydney, when exceedingly heavy weather was experienced. The dinghy was stove in and the yacht was battered about.' When Sydney was reached the crew had had enough cruising and the original idea of proceeding to England was abandoned.
