CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. 1 (Special in Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, April 3. Showery weather prevailed to-day, the wind varying from north to south-west. After falling to 29.80 in this morning the barometer has risen to 29.90 in. WELLINGTON, April 3. After heavy rain during the night it was brilliantly fine in the morning. About 11 o’clock heavy clouds banked up in the south, but the threatened rain held off, and the remainder of the day was fine but overcast. CHRISTCHURCH, April 3. A stormy morning with a little rain was followed by somewhat cloudy conditions and a fresh W.S.W. breeze. The maximum temperature was GO degrees. The barometer rose 30 points to 29.71 in.
