THOUSANDS DESTROYED FORMAL CEREMONY IN KOBE. TOKIO, October 11. (Received Oct. 12, at 0.30 a.m.) At a formal ceremony before the Kobe Chamber of Commerce 720,000 pearls were burnt for the purpose of stiffening prices.
