DETTON DEFEATS AL KARASICK.

(Feb United Press Association.) WANGANUI, October 10.

Dean Detton won a wrestling bout, against A 1 Karasick here to-night, Karasick complaining of a rib injury at the end of the fifth round and refusing to continue. Detton was thrown in the fourth round, the Russian following u series of headlocks with a body press. In the fifth round Detton came at his opponent with a series of flying tackles, butting A 1 Karasick out of the ring three or four times. When A 1 Karasick crawled back groggily on the last occasion with a band indicating his ribs the crowd jeered. Detton quickly applied a body press and was awarded a fall. Ai Karasick was carried to his corner and when the gong sounded be would not ga on, forfeiting the bout.
