ANNUAL CONFERENCE. (Per United Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON, October 10. The annual conference of the New Zealand Journalists’ Association was held in Wellington, when it was decided that the headquarters should remain at Auckland. Officers were elected as follow: — President, Mr L. Jillett; vice-president, Mr R. H. Melville: bou. secretary, Mr G. L. Stanbrook; treasurer, Mr T. Clarkson; council—Messrs T. R. A. Kenner A. F. Grace and G. F. Inglis. An invitation from Christchurch to hold celebrations there next year in connection with the twenty-first anniversary of the founding of the association was referred to the council.
