SUNDAY SERVICES
The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services at Knox Church to-morrow. The evening subject will be “ The Only Solution,” and a solo will be sung >by Miss Ruby Price. At First Church to-morrow the Rev. W. Allen Stevely will preach in the morning on “Our Help,” and in the evening on “ Things that Matter.” Dr Galway will be at the organ, and in the evening Miss Mary Miller will sing “How Lovely Are Thy Dwellings.” The Rev. E. S. Tuckwell will conduct both services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow, the subject in the morning being “The Great Reversal.” A mission service will be held in the evening, when the subject will be “ Knocked Out.” Miss Doris Taylor, of Oamaru, will sing “ 0 Divine Redeemer.” The services at the Methodist Central Mission to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. Leslie B, Neale, In the evening he will preach on “This Way OutJ* The soloist at this service will be Mr MTSfaught. Strangers and visitors are especially invited. At the St. Kilda Methodist Church tomorrow, the Rev. Percy Paris will preach in the morning on “ Man’s Search for a Home,” and at night on “Did Ye Ever See a Forward Score When He Was Examining His Bootlaces ? ” Members of the St. Kilda Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club will attend the evening service. Mr MacGregor Walmsley will speak in the Theosophical Hall, Dowling street, to-morrow evening, and his subject will be “Aspects of Character.” The services at the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. A. C. W. Standage, the subjects being “The Cloud’s Silver Lining” and “Christ’s Place in Modern Life.” In the evening Mr Gale will play “ Andante ” (Gaul) and “Le Nuit ” (Karg-elort). “ An Unremitting Lover ” will be the Rev. W. H. Greenslade’s evening theme at the St. Clair Methodist Church tomorrow. The Rev. G. E. Brown will take “ Bought With a Price ” as the evening subject at the Cargill Road Methodist Church to-morrow. The Rev. H. E. Bellhouse will conduct both services at Trinity Methodist Church to-morrow. His subject in the evening will be “ The Power of a Minority.” Mr J. E. Davies will sing the solo “ Was Ever Loneliness Like Mine,” and the choir will render the anthem “ Comes at Times a Stillness.”
At the United Congregational Church, Albany street, to-morrow the Rev. James M. Smccth will officiate at both services. In the morning his children’s subject will be “ If You Haven’t Got a Garden,” and for the adults “ Justifiable Pride.” At the evening service he will, preach ou “ Hearers and Doers.” First Church of Christ Scientist, Dunedin, will hold services in the Allbell Chambers, Stuart street, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The subject will be “ Christ Jesus.”
“Whisperings of God—Draw Near” will be the subject of the Rev. Albert Mead’s address to-morrow evening at the Moray Place Congregational Church. The choir will render the anthem “Hearken Unto Me,” and Mr J. B. Watt will sing “ The Lord is My Light.” Community singing will precede the evening service at 6.15 p.m. Family worship will be observed in the morning.
