(Received August 26, at 5.5 p.m.) Advice from Saratoga Springs states that the, spokesman for the Whitney racing interests confirmed the report that John Hay Whitney purchased the New Zealand mare Nea Lap, which is now in Australia. She will he shipped to America immediately, and mated with the Whitney stallions, including St. Germand, the;sire of Twenty Grand.
