The first round of the Port Chalmers Club’s Ladies’ Championship was played on Saturday. The course was on the heavy side, and so militated against good Play- The results were as follow: — Mrs Fletcher beat Miss B. Jackson, 4 and 3; Mrs M'Donald beat Miss Parry, 4 and 3; Miss Duncan beat Miss Dodds. 2 and 1; Miss Morgan beat Mrs Edgar at the last hole. The game, between these two was a most interesting one, the icsult being in doubt up to the last putt. Simultaneously, a Flag Match was played, Mies Lines, the winner, carrying the flag to the seventeenth green. She was closely followed by Miss Fletcher and Miss Chubb Wilson, who were only a stroke away.
