ROXBURGH GOLF CLUB

The Medal Match played on the Roxburgh link last Saturday proved one of the most interesting, especially in view of the number of young players. J. Locan, a first year player, banded in the best card, 89—20—69, followed by Frank Laloli with 88—16—72, Bruce Gilmour 95—20—75. Alex. Lamb 88—12—76, and N. Sandes 80—4—76. Since the club has increased the greens to the full regulation size and top-dressed them a great improvement has been noticeable iti the standard of play. The following are the ladies’ scores: — Mrs J. Urea 100—24—76, Miss I. Gilmour 113—36 —77, Mrs F. A. Laloli 97 — 17 —80. Next Saturday the club will commence its Knock-out Competition for the Jeffery Cup. The annual tournament will be held on August 26, 27, 29, and 30.
