THE FRESHFORD DREDGING COMPANY
TO THE EDITOR,
Sir, —With reference to the letter by “ Interested ” of the 20th ult. on the subject of the Freshford Dredging Company's property being prospected ny experienced miners, can you tell me how experienced miners could prospect the property >a three days? I understand they started boring on a Monday and finished up on the Wednesday, and I am told that they bottomed one hole at nine feet deep. Evidently they had been used to prospecting different country, or they would not have found bottom on a main flat under twenty feet deep. Is it not a fact that experienced miners were shown over some likely looking dredging ground elsewhere, which they tried, out found out to be, instead of nine feet deep, in tho vicinity of one hundred feet deep?—l am, etc.. Fair Deal. July 4.
