DEATH OF A FISHERMAN

NO SIGN OF COMPANION. (Per United Press Association.) WHANGAREI. July 4. A formal inquest for identification purposes was held to-day concerning the death of the Whangarei fisherman Srecko Alach. whose body was found in a swamped dinghy at the mouth of the laiharuru River on Saturday. No further light has been thrown on the nature of the tragedy, though it is supposed that Frank Cxlucina and Alach were fishing dangerously near a rocky coast in a dinghy belonging to the former’s auxiliary fishing boat Sadie, which was anchored, and that an unusually heavy swell capsized the small craft. Everything was intact aboard the Sadie, which was brought to port last night. The police and other parties conducted a search along a wide stretch of beach all yesterday, but discovered no sign ot Glucina.
