HOSPITAL BOARDS’ LIABILITY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE UNFIT. (Per United Pres., Association.) WELLINGTON, June 10. Mr W. Wallace, president of the Hospital Boards’ conference, announced to the conference this morning that a satisfactory arrangement had been made with the Minister of Employment (Mr J. G. Coates) in respect to the position which has arisen between the Government and the, boards as to the employment of A, B. and C classes of unemployed. The representatives of the boards met Mr Coates this morning, he said, and Mr Coates had agreed to accept class B men, so that the only class the boards would be responsible for would be the class C men, men who, under normal conditions, could not earn their own living, or in other words, were ordinary charitable aid cases. The conference set up a committee to bring down a report on the remits dealing, with unemployment relief.
