FRASERS’ ART GLASS COMPANY

The principal of the above company. Mr R. H. Fraser, who studied his profession in London, is well known throughout Australia and New Zealand as one of its leading stained glass artists. It"is now close on 40 .years since Mr Fraser introduced the production of stained glass windows into New Zealand, and since that time he has executed many commissions throughout the country for ecclesiastical, commercial, and domestic stained glass work.

Besides being the pioneer of glass bending and glass silvering, Mr Fraser personally constructed the first glass kiln in New Zealand.

Among the firm’s productions is the M’Kenzie Memorial Window in £t. Pauls Cathedral, Dunedin, the design of which was accepted in competition with others from England and New Zealand. Mr Fraser is ably assisted by his two sons, Mr R. W. Fraser and Mr R. H. Fraser, jun. . , ,
