REPORTS FROM NORTHERN CENTRES. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, May 17. A light southerly wind and fine sunny weather prevailed to-day, but the conditions arc cold this evening. The barometer is steady at 30.20 in. WELLINGTON. May 17. The weather was fine in Wellington today wjth sunshine and passing clouds. The sky became overcast towards evening. There was no wind. CHRISTCHURCH, May 17. Though cloudy in the morning the day was fine with a variable breeze. The maximum temperature was 52 degrees. The barometer fell to 30.30 in, and the downward movement continues.
