A TWO-FOLD RESULT
PRIMARY AND SECONDARY INDUSTRIES BENEFIT WHEN "MOSGIEL” WOOLLENS ARE PURCHASED. For some considerable time the highest prices that New- Zealand, wool-growers have received at the New Zealand wool sales have been those paid by the Mosgiel Woollen Factory Company, Ltd., for specially choice lots of merino and halfbred wools. This keenness of the Mosgiel Company to obtain the finest fleeces available has been an important factor in maintaining wool prices at our local sales, and it has ensured' for the New Zealand wool-grower an adequate return for his enterprise in producing wool suitable for our local mills. Those who purchase “ Mosgiel ” Woollens, therefore, will realise that they are not encouraging the great woolgrowing industry on which so much of New Zealand’s prosperity depends, but they are also helping to provide employment for the large number of workers in New Zealand woollen factories. Another conclusion to be drawn is that the prices paid by “ Mosgiel ” for its raw wool arc an indication of the quality of the finished article. There is an old saying: “You cannot make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.” Neither can you make the finest woollen goods from inferior wool. One of the reasons for the world-renowned superiority of “Mosgiel” is that, in the first place, the goods are made from the choicest wool it is possible to obtain. Ap;y't from these considerations, the wearer of “ Mosgiel ” woollens benefits in comfort and health, while getting the garments that are the most economical in the end. “ Mosgiel ” woollens have that elasticity and "life” which ensure the longest wear despite frequent visits to the wash-tub. At the same time, they keep the body warm and comfortable through changing temperatures, and protect against those sudden chills which frequently lend’ to serious, and sometimes fatal illness. The products of the Mosgiel Woollen Factory embrace a variety of lines, but the company specialises, to a great extent, in men’s underwear, pullovers, cardigans, jerseys, and hosiery, also tweeds, worsted suitings, blankets, and rugs._ In these articles, “ Mosgiel’s ” superiority is overwhelming, and those who wish to get the best value for their money while at the same time to encourage an industry that means so much to the prosperity of New Zealand should unhesitatingly and emphatically demand “ Mosgiel.”
