DISASTER FEARED

SCORCHED WRECKAGE FOUND SHIP BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN BURNT. CAPETOWN, May 13. Heavy seas brought in a wreck, floating upwards, at St. Helena Bay, 80 miles westward of Capetown. Presumably it was a large sailing vessel. 1 ragments broken against the rocks show that the wood was bady scorched. No cargo was washed ashore, and it is surmised that the vessel was burnt out.
