REDUCTION IN WAGES
VOLUNTARILY ACCEPTED CABLES AND WIRELESS EMPLOYEES. LONDON, May 11. Ten thousand employees of Cables and Wireless, Ltd., in all parts of the world, have signed a volume, which will be presented to Mr J. C. Denison-Pender (managing director) on his fiftieth birthday, in which every signatory thereby voluntarily suffers a reduction in wages and an increase in hours of work, producing an annual economy of over £200,000.
