TORNADO IN AMERICA HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, March 21. (Received March 22, at 9 p.m.) A message from Birmingham, Alabama, states that at least 72 people were killed and a large number fatally injured, while several hundred people arc homeless as the result of a tornado which struck Western Alabama late today. It also struck Tennessee and Kentucky.

NEW YORK, March 22, (Received March 22, at 11.30 p.m.)

A message from Birmingham states that the deaths in yesterday’s tornadoes in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee rose to 105 early to-day.
