AWARD TO HINKLER NEW YORK-LONDON FLIGHT. LONDON, February 12. (Received Feb. 13, at 5.5 p.m.) The Aero Club has awarded Mr Bert Hinkler the Britannia Trophy for the New York-London flight. A MARVELLOUS RECOVERY. SINGAPORE, February 13. (Received Feb. 14, at 5.5 p.m.) Colonel Brinsmead left Bangkok on Saturday by steamer for Australia. Ho was able to walk up the gangway, and he chatted with friends. His recovery is considered marvellous and it is hoped it will eventually be complete. Throughout his illness his mind was a blank regarding the accident. He has only just been told that five persons were killed when the air mail machine crashed. FAMOUS ITALIAN AIRSHIP COMMANDER. BERLIN, February 14. (Received Feb. 15, at 1 a.m.) Colonel Nobile, commander of the 1928 airship Italia, returning home from Moscow, announced that he is going to Russia in the spring, where he has been appointed chief constructor of Soviet dirigibles. He will join the Soviet air expedition to Nicholas II Land in tfie summer.
