TOKIO TRAMWAYS
STRIKE OF EMPLOYEES BETTER WAGES DEMANDED. TOKIO, January 13. (Received Jan. 13, at 10.30 p.m.) Demanding better wages and shorter hours, 600 operatives on the Tokio tramways struck early this morning. The authorities are hopeful that the trouble will not spread, and are adopting measures of precaution in view of the unrest throughout the city transport services.
