SALE OF WORK
CENTRAL MISSION EFFORT A successful sale of work, organised for the purpose of supplementing the Central Mission Debt. Extinction Fund, was opened in Slade Hall yesterday afternoon. The sale was opened by the Rev. L. B. Neale, who congratulated the Indies who had been responsible for the attractive display of stalls and goods. Patrons would find plenty of useful articles at reasonable prices to attract their attention, and he asked them to give as much support to the effort as they could. In the evening a concert programme, arranged by the Young Men’s Bible class was presented, the items including humorous sketches, plays, solos, and elocutionary numbers. The stallholders are as follow: Ladies’ work—-Mesdames L. 8.. Neale. W. 0. Cameron, and G. Scott; novelty Miss M'Gregor and Mrs Reynolds; cakes and tea rooms, choir members; jumble— Mesdames Williams, Jones, and Brebncr; produce—Mesdames Dawson, Smallman. and Coulter; sweets —Mesdames Irvine. Johnson, Twoose, and Doig; work stall. Young Women’s Bible Class; competitions, Young Men’s Bible Class; wood work, Mr Pellett. The sale will be open again this afternoon and evening.
