HORSE PARADE
The annual Clydesdale Horse Parade under the auspices of the Otago A. and P. Society will be held at Tahuna Park on Thursday, September 24. In addition to the classes for four-year* old, three-year-old, and two-year-old stallions, the Clydesdale Horse Society will offer Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co.’s Perpetual Cup for the best stallion, four years old or over. All animals competing for this cup must be certified by the Government veterinary surgeon that they are free from certain specified hereditary diseases. The following stallions have won this cup and the owner’s name recorded on same. 1924 Thomson and Co.’s Scotland’s Victor. 1925 — Mr Andrew Carruthers’s Mcdrox Print. 1926 — Mr Alexander Cullen’s Ray of Hope. 1927 — Mr Thomas Logans Archaic. 1928 Mr Andrew Grant’s Desire. 1929 — Mr John Young’s Brunstane Duplicate. 1930 Mr D. G. Wright’s Windermere Obligation. Breeders are reminded that the entries for this competition close on Monday, September 14.
