REDUCTION OF STAKES,
(Peb United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, September 3; 1 ..The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting ■Club's programme for the spring meeting in November has been issued. It shows that the stakes for the three days’ meeting have been reduced by £3500. The only race for which the stakes have not been reduced is the Trotting Derby. The others have been reduced by sums ranging from £IOO to £SOO per race.
