IN RECEIVER'S HANDS

RAILWAY IN FLORIDA UNABLE TO MEET INTEREST. NEW YORK, September 1. A message from Jacksonville (Florida) states that the East Coast railway, founded by the late Mr Henry Flagler, pioneer developer of Florida, went into the hands of the receiver today. The railway had lost 5,000,000 dollars in operations since 1928, and was unable to meet the interest due to-day. Bonds amounting to 45,000,000 dollars are outstanding. The railway is believed to be a casualty of the deflation in the Florida land boom.
