LOTTERY TOKENS
HUGE SALE STOPPED CONFISCATED IN AMERICA. (United Press Association.) (Ay Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, April 12. (Received April 12, at 7.50 p.m.) A passenger aboard the Aquitania, whose luggage was searched because of the discovery of liquor, was found to possess a million tickets for the Irish Free State hospital sweepstake Derby. The tickets, if all had been sold, would have totalled 2J million dollars, of which 400,000 would have been the seller’s profit. The tickets were confiscated under the Customs law forbidding entrance with lottery tokens.
