THE HOUSE OF COMMONS

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS ADVERTISING DOMINION GOODS. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, March 31. In the House of Commons Mr Louis Smith (Con.) asked if the Dominions Secretary (Mr J. H. Thomas) would consider the advisability of refraining from further advertising dominion goods on the Marketing Board’s hoardings until a scheme was evolved for similarly advertising British goods in the dominions. Mr Thomas: No. Mr Smith: Is everything being done to get the dominions to reciprocate? Mr Thomas: Mr Smith asks me to agree to something that is a violation of a bargain with the dominions. I am endeavouring to ask them to reciprocate in any way they can, but to say that unless they do it we will refuse to carry out our side of the bargain is rather wide of the mark. The Home Secretary (Mr J. R. Clynes), in answer to a question, said he did not propose to suggest the prosecution of buyers of tickets in the Irish sweeps.
