The revenue was £13,550,025 below the estimate, and the expenditure £11,961,946 above it. The deficit is partly set off by sinking fund payments, which were £11,430,431 above the estimate. OUTSTANDING DECREASES. LONDON, April 1. (Received April 2, at 1 a.m.) Among the outstanding decreases in the Budget, compared with the Estimates, income tax was responsible for £3,953,000, stamps £6,350,000 due to the diminution in Stock Exchange transactions, Customs receipts £1,309,000, and excise duties £5,860,000.
