De Chavannes was a close friend of Mrs Townsend. WORRY OVER EYE TROUBLE. SYDNEY, April 1. (Received April 1, at 11 p.m.) Tiie Mrs Townsend mentioned in the Nice message was a former Sydney girl. She married a rich Chicago man and motored over a precipice near Nice, where she was staying with her husband and baby. It is believed that worry over eye trouble was responsible for the tragedy.
