An 18-year-old girl cashier of Tottenham foiled bandits in spite of the t net that they threw treacle in her face. The girl was carrying money from the bank to the promises of her employers, the London Printing Works in Paxton road. She had nearly reached the offices of the firm when two men —one of whom was only a youth—accosted her. One man threw treacle- in her face, which temporarily blinded her, while the other snatched at the bag, containing £125, which she was carrying. Her screams brought men running from the works. She retained hold of the bag, and her assailants escaped in a car. Kaitangata is the need of the times. — It is such economical coal. —Advt.
