SUNDAY SERVICES.

The Rev. D. C. Herron will conduct both services at Knox Church to-morrow. The Rev. W. Allen Stevely will conduct both services 'at First Church tomorrow. The morning subject will be “ A Basket of Summer Fruit.” _ At the evening service there will be given the first of a “Series of Tonic Talks for Difficult Days,” the subject being “The University of. Hard Knocks.”^ The morning service at Trinity Methodist Church, Stuart street, to-morrow will be conducted by the president of the conference (the Rev. E. D. Patchett), and in the evening the Rev, Dr Laws, principal of Trinity College, Auckland, will be the preacher. In the morning the anthem “ Out of the Deep ” will be rendered, and in the evening Miss Phyllis West will sing the solos" Supplication.” The anthem will be “The God of Abraham Praise.” The service will be broadcast.

The preachers at the ’Dundas Street Methodist Church to-morrow will be the Rev. S. Griffith, of Auckland, in the morning, and the Rev. Dr Ranston, of Trinity College, Auckland, in the evening. Mrs G. Scott will render a solo, and the choir ■ will render an anthem.

The Rev. Professor Hunter will conduct both services at the North-East Valley Presbyterian Church to-morrow. The Rev. E. S. Tuckwell will conduct the services at the Hanover Street Baptist Church to-morrow. In the evening the choir will render the anthem “ Incline Thine Ear,” and the soloist will be Mr J. S. Tait.

“A Matter of Exchange” will be the Rev. James M. Smeeth’s subject for tomorrow evening at the'United Congregational Church. The morning subject will' be “ The Emmaus Road.” Mrs A. Matheson will sing a solo at the evening service. At the Salvation Army Citadel, Dowling street, Adjutant Toug will deliver an address to-morrow on “Who is a Wise ManT” At the evening service Mrs Adjutant Tong will speak on “A Personal Question.” “Christ or Chaps” will be the evening subject at St. Stephen’s Church tomorrow. Mrs Magon will be the soloist, and the choir will sing the anthem “ Thou Wilt Keep Him.” The Rev. Thomas Miller will be the preacher. At the Maori Hill Presbyterian Church to-morrow the Rev. A. C. W. Standage will preach in the morning on “ Humanity’s Debt to Christ,” and in the evening on “ Christianity and World Peace.” Mr C. A. Martin will play as his evening voluntaries “Berceuse” (Johnson), “Andante Grazioso” (Capocci), “Melodie in E” (Rachmaninoff). The Rev. R. Ferguson Fish will preach at both services at the Caversham Presbyterian Church to-morrow. Mr Nagel’s address at York Place Hall to-morrow evening will be based on “The Parable of the Leaven.” The Rev. B. Metson, of Christchurch, will conduct the morning service at the Cargill Road Methodist Church to-mor-row, and the Rev. R. Raine, an old minister of Cargill road, but now of Wellington, will preach in the evening. The Rev. C, Pearn, of Christchurch, will conduct the morning service at the St. Clair Methodist Church to-morrow, and the Rev. A. Blakemore will preach in the evening. The Methodist Young Men’s and Young Women’s Bible Class Unions will hold a rally of members and other young people at the Octagon Mission Hall at 3 o’clock to-morrow afternoon. The organiser of the girls’ classes (Miss E. Sewell) and the Rev. B. Hames will be the speakers. The president of the Methodist Conference will preside.

The Central Mission services to-mor-row will be of a special character, being conducted by the Rev. W. Walker in the morning and the Rev. Clarence Eaton in the evening. Miss Agnes Guy and Mr William Ruffell will render vocal solos, and Miss Eva Judd will play a violin solo. There will be other interesting features in the evening servee, all of which are duly advertised. “The Challenger Challenged” will be the subject of the Rev. Albert Mead’s address to-morrow evening at the Congregational Church, Moray place. In the morning he will speak on “ St. Mark’s Life of Jesus (3) : Leader and Followers.” An anthem and quartett “ When I Survey ” will be rendered by the 6hoir.
