Eyston, driving a midget car fitted with a powerful super charger, exceeded 100 miles per hour, averaging 102.76 for five miles, arid 101.87 for 10 miles. (United press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON. February 16. Leo Wax, the Australian, outpointed Chris Gorman, of Chelsea, at Blackfriars Ring in 15 rounds. CRICKET. DAILY TIMES v. FRUIT TRADERS. The Daily Times cricket team scored a victory at the Caledonian Ground on Tuesday over the fruit traders’ team by 115 runs to 97. For the winners, Davies was the principal scorer, with 39 runs, while Palensky (33) also played well. The only other double-figure scorer was L. Cameron (11). Davis (five wickets) was the most successful bowler for the fruit traders, and he shared the honours with Dickel (four wickets). W. Pringle (22) was the principal contributor to the fruit traders’ score. Other doublefigure scorers were F. Pringle (15). Woodhouse (14), Newall (12), and Lloyd (10). Cameron, Blazey, and J. M'Gregor shared the wickets for the Daily Times.
