PALMERSTON NOTES.
(From Our Owr Cobrespohdutt.) PALMERSTON, December, 3S. GUN CLUB: „ Christmas shoot of the Palmerston Gun Club was held on Saturday afternoon in a very strong, cold wind. Owing to the tact that fihearing operations are m proSress there *vr*s a small attendance, Mr . Roy presented a fine lamb, Mr A. M Gregor a cake, and the club provided six cakes. Three small matches ‘were held, and every competitor received either a quarter of lamb or a cake. BOY SCOUTS. Last evening the local Scouts entertained the members of the committee. A good tea was provided, and Christmas cake was handed round. Scouter C. Dixon presided, and welcomed the members of the committee. Songs and recitations were given by the Scouts.
