ECONOMIC PROBLEMS

THE GENEVA COMMISSION. A LIVELY DISCUSSION. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) GENEVA, September 29, During a lively discussion at the meeting of the commission dealing with economic problems, Mr P. Coleman (Australia) exchanged words with M. Flandin (French Minister of Commerce) who supported the attitude of the Warsaw Agricultural Conference. Dr Hiddell (Canada) proposed, and Mr Coleman seconded, a motion objecting to the report in which States are urged to ratify the commercial convention drawn up in March. M. Flandin said the dominions’ attitude was an attempt to destroy concerted action by the European States. Eventually the report was adopted with the dominions’ strongest objection officially recorded in the minutes.
