MILTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE
NOMINATIONS. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Knowing the circumstances 1 fail to see where the joke is on Mr Mbrr>® in connection with these nominations. All that was required of Mr Morris was to sign, the form , agreeing to accept nomination, and this, as your report al•®ws, he did. The gentleman who nominated. ” lai a * so B, ’sned. All that was omitted was to fill in the top of the form, and that, in my opinion, and in that of many others,, does not in the least affect the legality of the nomination. I feel sure that all fair-minded householders will express their opinion of such unsportsmanlike tactics on Wednesday evening. As far as Mr Morris being astickler for technicalities, as one who has served with, him on several committees. I can ®ay, without fear of contradiction that he is one of the fairest-minded and hardest workers that it has been, my pleasure to work with. As for upsetting the last election he i s deserving of the thanks of the whole community. In conclusion I would suggest to Mr Morris that the fact of the Otago Education Boards solicitor saying this his nomination is not in’ order should not be final.. Solicitors, like rectors, are sometimes wrong, and, I venture to prophesy still another election.—l am, etc.. Householder.
