HOUSE DESTROYED.
SMASHED BY FALLING TREE. (Peb United Press Association.) NAPIER, May 22. A house at Eskdale was smashed to pieces by a huge pine tree. The wind caught the tree as it was prepared for being brought down, and carried it in the opposite direction. No one -was hurt, but the house (the property of Mr R. Hold) was ruined. It was occupied by Mr F. Saunders.
