A Telfer, of Greenfield, was charged w l ™ exposing Hee-infected sheep at Balclutha sale yards on April ll.—George Reid, inspector of stock at Balclutha, said there were 159 sheep, and of 10. examined he found seven infected with lice.—A fine °f 20s, with 12s costs, was imposed. William Baird, stock leader. Invercargill, similarly charged in , respect to sheep exposed at Balclutha sale yards on March 28,-was fined 40s, with costs (10s). BY-LAW BREACHES. Traffic Inspector Wood proceeded against the following for . breaches of the 00 rough by-laws:—John Hurring, jun., Fuerua, for leaving a car standing in Charlotte street for. a period exceeding 20 minutes, was fined 10s, with costs; (12s)j, A. Hector Parks, Dunedin, £8 6s 2d.' with costs (£2'l2s); M'Skimming. and Son, Ltd. (Mr Walter) v. J. Bray, Kakanui, claim £8 8s XOd, coal and railage, with costs (£1 12s). James Cruden, Dunedin '(Mr Gripor) v. Eric John Jones, Romahapa.—Claim £5 7s, on a judgment summons.—Mr Kelly, for the judgment debtor, said the whole amount had been paid under an order of the court, and he asked for costs on behalf of his client.—Defendant was allowed 9s 6d costs, with solicitor’s fee 15s od. JUVENILE OFFENDER. At the Juvenile Court to-day a'hoy who admitted having been rosponsible, .for frightening a number of young girls and women after , dark was committed to the Industrial School. BALCLUTHA LADIES’ GOLF CLUB. The following is the draw for a Bogey Match to he played by the members of' the above club on Saturday next:—A Grade: Miss Noble v. Mrs Telford, Mrs Lyall v. Mies Henderson. ■, A club has been given for a B grade competition, and dhe match will be played on Saturday, May 31, or on Tuesday, June 3.
