THE YOUNG PLAN

APPROVED BY GERMANY. CATHOLIC PARTY AGREES. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) BERLIN, March 11. The anxiety that the Government would fail to obtain a satisfactory majority on the Young Plan in the Reichstag was dispelled by the Catholic Party. At the last minute this party decided to support the plan, as the Government had met its financial claims. The Bavarian People’s Party abstained from voting. The Communists tried to obstruct the Bill, but it was read a second time by 251 votes to 174.' It is rumoured that President Hindcnburg brought pressure to bear on the Catholics because he felt be could not sign the Young Plan and The Hague agreements if they were passed only by a bare majority. The Reichstag also passed the Australian and New Zealand war-time property agreements concluded at The Hague.
