SEARCH FOR TREASURE

TONS OP BURIED COPPER. AERIAL COMPETITION. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) TORONTO, March 1. (Received March 2, at 11.20 p.m.) The Toronto Star states to-day: “A billion dollars’ aerial treasure hunt is now being organised, and from here in about three months’ time eight aeroplanes'will set off to search for tons of buried copper now known definitely only to the Eskimo tribes living on the northern rim of Canada’s barren lands. Just six months ago Colonel Mac Allene and a party of Canadian explorers in two flying machines set off practically for the same district, but they strayed off their course of flight. It is estimated that the cost will be well over 1,000.000 dollars.”
