REVENUE DEPARTMENT’S ESTIMATES. A MARKED INCREASE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, March 1. (Received March 2, at 11 p,m.) The Civil Service Revenue Department’s estimates for the coming financial year total £368,095,000 —an increase ol £47,905,000 over those for last year. The sum of £15,000,000 is due to the derating scheme. The increases include widows’ and old age pensions (£5,000,000), and unemployment insurance £6,500,000.

These are the first main estimates by the Labour Government, and they show a net increase of £29,500,000 to be met out of ordinary revenue.
