GENEVA CONFERENCE.
APPOINTMENT OF WORKERS’ ' REPRESENTATIVE. SELECTION BALLOT TO BE HELD. (Special to Daily Times.) WELLINGTON, February 25. . In view' of the multiplicity of nominations for the position of workers’ representative on the New Zealand delegation ■ to ‘attend the International Labour Conference at Geneva in May, the Minister of Labour (Mr W. A. Veitch) . announced to-day that it has been decided to make the selection along the lines of the procedure prescribed in the Industrial Arid Arbitration Act for the appointment of workers’ representative, on the Arbitration Court. The Minister has given instructions for a ballot to be held. Accordingly the ballot will be closed on Wednesday, March 12. - The noiriinations for the representation of the workers are as-follows: Messrs T. Bloodwofth (Auckland), A. Cathey (Nelson), E. J. Howard (Christchurch), W. M’Arley (Wellington), M. J. Reardon (Wellington), J. Roberts. (Wellington), H. R. Rushbridge (Christchurch), and W. E. Sill (Auckland), Mr W. Nash, M.P. (Wellington), was nominated but declined. Tim only nominee for the representation of employers -is Mr T. Shriller Weston, M.L.C.
