Ihe Johannesburg correspondent of tne Morning Post wired on January 10: The crew of the steamer Limpopo, which was wrecked on the barren south coast, landed safely at Luderitz - this morning from a harbour tug, which went to their assistance after, three of "the crew had i trekked for five days through • the desert. , The tug unable to approach, the wreck owing to the terrific seas, signalled to the crew, who were on shore, to walk 12 miles a smooth beach, where they were taken ott. Since January 1 the crew had lived by the bravery of a New Zealander, named North, who daily pulled himself by ■a rope through the pounding surf to the wreck for supplies, at the risk of his life. <
