A MUSICAL PARTY.
Our afternoon tea party was becoming rather flat when a brainy jraest suggested a "musical party" (says B, J: in an exchange). It "was a wonderful success, and I can confidently recommend it: Have someone play a portion of 10 well-known songs and hymns, then hand each guest a slip of paper and a pencil, and ask her to write down the names of all the songs she remembers having heard just played, and sign her name. Collect these slips and read aloud the lists. The best memory wins. Next distribute slips of paper with 10 numbered lines. Have one similar slip, with the name of a familiat song, such as "The Old Kentucky Home," Tipperary," etc., on each line, and have someone play the chorus of each number. Allow about two minutes between numbers for the guests to write down the name. The one guessing the greatest num. ber correctly wins a prize. Have all your guests' sit in a circle facing one another and give each one a bit ot paper bearing the name of a sonp. and ! at a signal let them all start to whistle. As each one is assigned to ■ different tune, the effect is very amusing. The one that can whistle the most of the .song without losing the tune is the winner
