ROXBURGH NOTES.
(Fbom Odb Own Cobbespondsnt.) ■ . ROXBURGH, February'2l. ; - The district has been experiencing beautiful weather, and the ram which fell on Sunday evening-92 points—was the first for some weeks. Although the good weather was very agreeable, this fall of ram was highly beneficial to all grbwth, and the ground received a thorough soaking. . TEVIOT POWER BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Tevibt Power Board was held in the board room on February 13th. Mr. Michelle presided,, and there were also present; Messrs George, Kinaston, M'Donald, Waigth, and Dr; Gilmour. Accouivts amounting to £446 17s Id wero passed for payment. The revenue for the month was_ £862 6s lid. In reference to' -P e y®ar s income, the chairman remarked that it would exceed the amount anticipated t “ e beginning of the year. Fruitgrowers are experiencing an excellent season in every respect. Weather conditions have been entirely favourable and although there has been some very not weather, at no time were growers raced with an overwhelming rush of fruit, and regular consignments of from 40 to 50 tons have been going forward daily, line highest for one day was 67 tons. In consequence of this the various markets nave not been over-supplied, and good prices have been obtained. The apricot 's practically over, and mid-season and late fruit, m plums, peaches, and nectarines, is now maturing.
