EXPERIMENTS IN AMERICA. MEDICAL JOURNAL’S WARNING. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) VANCOUVER, February 20. The Journal of the American Medical Association applauds Drs Coffey and Humber for their experimental work and their modest disclaimers. that they have developed a cancer Cure in the popular sense. It warns sufferers against the great trek which has begun towards California to attend the clinics. The journal adds that an extract similar to j>r Coffey’s has been developed by Professor Hansen, of Minnesota, from the thymus of a calf that will produce certain' changes in cancer cells following injection. Still, it is criminal to arouse hopes that a cure has been discovered, and sufferers should hot be duped by expectation that are false so far as present knowledge goes.
