(Received Jan. 5, at 5,5 p.m.) The navy's most wonderful ship (13,500 tons), named Resource, is the Mediterranean fleet’s new repair ship, with 20 different workshops. Each is fitted with the latest plant, also a foundry and smithy. Her principal duty will be to keep the Mediterranean warships in condition, but she will also be able to supply them with water and oil. She has a double bottom, so constructed as to enable it to carry in it 200 tons cf distilled water, 200 tons of boiler water, 100'tons,of lubricating oil, and 400 tons of oil fuel. She also carries a powerful wireless and searchlight plants. _ The latter is for illuminating any ship on which night work may be necessary. The only armament consists of tw r o 4in guns on a high angle, the mountings enabling them to be used against aircraft.
