EARTHQUAKE AT QUARTERS.A MAN KILLED. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, January 4. (Received Jan. 5, at 5.5 p.m.) A message from Sir Hubert Wilkins at Deception Island, dated January I, states: “An earthquake swept Deception Island to-day, making huge holes in the, ground. , Our ship was severely shaken. Two bridges at the land station were smashed, and four men were thrown from the oil tank, one of whom was killed, anJ the others seriously injured. The equipment was not damaged.
