(Received Dec. 20, at 5.5 p.m.) In the House of Commons Sir Charles Trevelyan (president .of the Board of Education), in answer to a question, said that extra charge for education, together with maintenance allowances not exceeding 5s a week to parents of needy children, would make the cost of raising the school-lcnvihg age to 15 years £5,500,000.
