T, Merritt (president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce) in reporting to the Council of the Chamber concerning the complaints brought before the Cabinet ns a result of the suggestion that the vessel was to be diverted from Auckland. Mr Merritt said that the arrangements which wei'p being made would ensure the retention of trade between Auckland and the Islands, including Norfolk Island.
