GERMAN NATIONALISTS
SECESSIONS FROM PARTY. ATTITUDE TO YOUNG PLAN. (United ■ Press Association.) (Br Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) . , BERLIN, December 4. (Received Dec. 6, at 10 p.m.) A revolt of Nationalists against Dr Hugenberg’s anti-Young Plan policy quickly developed. Twelve members have already resigned and it is expected that' the party will lose at least 20, Count Westarp resigned his leadership in the Reichstag but he explains that this does not mean he. is seceding'from the 9 party. NEW PARTY PROBABLE. • A STRONGER OPPOSITION. BERLIN, December 5. (Received Dec. 6, at 1 a.m.) # It appears that Herr Brian’s Nationalist Party turned against Dr Hugenberg, and the Secessionists, with the Right Wingers of the People's Party, may create a new party, constituting a stronger Conservative Opposition than the Nationalists have been able to provide. This will leave the Nationalists, hitherto numbering 78, an unimportant group, made still smaller by the fact that the Right Wing is drifting towards Herr Hitler’s Fascist Party. Herr Klqenne, one of . the seceders, declared that Dr Hugenberg had no strategic insight when he pressed the plebiscite, against the opinion of the bourgeoisie, against the President of the Reich, and against reason. There were violent scenes in the Reichstag when Herr Severing proposed the first reading of the Bill for the Protcctl°*l. °I the Republic, the Communists calling out “ Bloodhounds, murderers.” Twenty-four deputies were suspended. , was also introduced to make the party; that proposed the plebiscite pay therefor.
