SANDERS CUP CONTEST. FIVE PROVINCES TO COMPETE. Nominations for the annual contest _ for the Sanders Memorial Cup for Jellicoe boats closed at Auckland on November 30. Auckland will defend the cup, and the following provinces have issued challenges:—Otago, Wellington, Canterbury, and Southland. Thames in June. Barry already is in 1 training and has won several half to four and a-half mile handicaps, in which he conceded considerable starts.
